An Interview with Robert Webber

In the November/December, 2004, issue of Creator we featured what we called “one of the real and practical experts in the ‘art of Christian worship,’” Dr. Robert Webber. Webber was the author of over 40 books on the subject of worship and spirituality and was a popular conference and workshop communicator, as well as a teacher/educator. He was on the Northern Seminary faculty, located in the Chicago suburbs, serving as the Director for the M.A. in worship and Spirituality and teaching courses for the D.Min in Worship Studies. Webber was, at that time, also President of what is now the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies, located in Florida, offering advanced degrees in the study of worship.

An Interview with John Ness Beck

This interview with John was done in late 1978 or early 1979 during a visit he made to the then Garden Grove Community Church, now known as the Crystal Cathedral. It explains such things as how Beckenhorst Press got started, and how the name came to be. He also references some societal issues that seem very relevant today.

An Interview with Fred Bock

In January, 1980, Creator interviewed Fred Bock in his Tarzana, California, office. Tarzana was named after the famous vine-swinging hero, and at the time, an active office for Tarzan projects was located directly across the street from Fred’s office. The interview turned out to be a very enlightening review of sacred recording “through the ages.” History of many very interwoven lives came out in their conversation that day.
