Good Morning.

There is a lot to cover this week, so I'll get right to it.

Last week some of you had difficulty with the links in this email. That happens sometimes, for some people, and I'm never sure why. If you missed last week's Monday Morning Email, Bob Burroughs had a lot of great content, including Mary McDonald's guest contribution "Tales from the Pit! (Organ Pit, That Is!)" and the description of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church's annual choir reunion. To read last week's MME...just click here

Today, through a happy calendar coincidence, is a big birthday day in our family. In the "old days" (before my social networking experiment) I would have just ignored that and stuck to business, but now I'll say this: if you want to wish two great young women a happy birthday, I'd be honored, and they would be surprised. One of our daughters is travelling in Peru and off the internet grid until tomorrow (7/14) at the earliest: to send an email to Lura, click here. Our older daughter has been living in Spain for about 10 years. To send and email to Alana, click here. [email].

Onward...

NEW! Worship Blog List! Now you don't have to search for places to read about worship, because we've compiled.an extensive listing of worship blogs for our Creator Leadership Network members. These blogs are from people involved in thinking about and doing worship in a wide variety of environments: geographic as well as stylistically. It's easy: one click and read to your heart's content. Just go here and look in the left hand column.

Please Help Us Grow to 3000! We want to the 3,000 Creator Leadership Network members, and we think you probably know people who would appreciate having this resource. Will you please tell your friends and colleagues, both at your church and across the country about CLN and MME? Among the past week's new members: Deb Carraway, Eleanor Fisher, C Edward Spann, Pat Little, and Marty Parks. Thanks for joining us. We're about 35 new members away from our first 10 free Creator magazine subscription giveaway. Please just copy and paste the email below and send it to as many of your friends and colleagues as you can. Thanks in advance.

I'm a member of the Creator Leadership Network, and I think you should be too. You'll get great benefits, like Monday Morning Email. You can join CLN by going to http://www.creatormagazine.com and registering.

(Almost) Free Gift! We were going to tell you about this later, but sometimes you just can't wait. This week's MME writer, Hugh Ballou, has just released his new training, and we've made arrangements so that you, as a CLN member, can get it almost free. Hugh's 3 week course is designed to turn any committee--even your church commitee--into a high performance team in just 3 weeks! I can't imagine any church that wouldn't benefit from this training, and you can get it almost free by just entering the code "Creator" (without the quotes).  Just go here and enter the code "Creator".

We have a new survey! Thanks to those who have taken it. If you haven't, please go here and take the survey on how you get your music/worship ministry training.

New articles on the site! Among our recently added articles is Identifying Tensions Over Musical Style by Henry Schellenberg. Go here to see all the new articles.

Remember...
Article compilation CDs - We no have 3 collections of back articles in pdf format on CD Rom. The Choir and Leadership collections ($19.95 each) contain over 40 articles, while the Worship collection ($24.95) contains 60 articles--that is less than 50 cents per article, post paid in the US.

Here's some of what is included on each CD...

Choir: 101 Great Choir Ideas/The Incarnational Work of the Adult Choir/Choir Committment: The "Real" Cost/Letter to the Singer in the 4th Row/Understanding Your Head Voice
Leadership: Creating and Sustaining Healthy Teams on a Church Staff/Identifying Tensions over Musical Style/Ministry and Women: Ambassadors of the Spirit/Pastors and Church Musicians/The Church Musician as Transformational Leader
Worship: A Theology of Worship/Don't Plan a Service...Create a Moment/Eight Common Elements of Worship Renewal/The Worship Driven Church/Worship Planning: What is the Foundation?

You can order them by clicking here and looking in the left hand column for "Featured Products."

Last week's blog posts at dotdotdotblog.com included: If I knew then what I know now..

Something's coming!- A new service of Creator is on target to launch right after Labor Day. Part of my "course correction" is that I will probably blog less in order to shepherd this project along. I really can't tell you anything yet...really...but soon...I promise... Stay tuned...

Whew! That's covering a lot of ground. I think we should get to this week's MME, don't you?

In this week's MME, Hugh Ballou features guest contributions from Brandon Allen, David Stanley, and Franklin Gillis. To read this week's MME...just click here

This week, take the step of helping your church committee be more productive...and please help us grow by telling your friends and colleagues about Creator, and MME too.

Blessings,
