The lists above reflect the "state of the church" in 1996. What good is this list? How do you figure out what might serve your ministry when you don't recognize a title? Here are two sure ways to answer those questions: First, if you recognize a composer's name, and don't know the tune, you can expect that Creator's Editorial Board found this to be one of that composer's "lasting" works--something worthwhile to purchase. Second (and this may be hard for music/worship ministry newbies to accept/relate to), a printed copy of this list shown (or faxed, or emailed) to a knowledgable person at your your full service music supplier (two of our favorites are Pine Lake Music and Music Mart) will elicit, at the very least, an informed current opinion, if not the ability to track down the current publisher of these pieces when the publisher has been acquired by another company. Try these pieces...we think you'll be glad you did.
