Good Morning.

UPDATE: Due to server problems, Monday Morning Email was late this week. I apologize. For more information as to why, please read this http://is.gd/1iivt

Now back to our original programming...

This morning I am reminded about the kindness of strangers. We're on the road for the next week, ...

Good Morning.

Did you do anything special yesterday for Father's Day? If you've been a Monday Morning Email reader for some time you know that I don't personally think we should "celebrate" Hallmark holidays in worship, but I'm pretty sure that most churches in the US did something for Mother's Day, and where does that leave the fathers when their day comes around? Here's something that I've done at the last four churches I've served: POPS Sunday. This is a...ahem...clever play on words, and allows my musicians ...

Good Morning.

Is it summer at your church yet? I serve in an area that has a large college student community, and yesterday we were filled to overflowing with grads and their families. It means that there is always a certain amount of "young person turnover" in the congregation as these folks finish their training and move on (or back to their home towns). At another congregation I served, we were in what the regional newspaper deemed "the perfect suburb," but we found that there was a certain amount of "junior ex ...

Good Morning.

So yesterday was Trinity Sunday. Did you sing Holy, Holy Holy, Lord God Almighty? Yesterday also started the liturgical season that consumes the most calendar time each year...waiting for summer to arrive/waiting for summer to be over/ramping up for "kick off"" Sunday/waiting for advent... Now is the time to be planning, friends and neighbors, before you wind down for the summer. And planning means more than just deciding when to resume your "regular" schedule. It also means what is called in the edu ...

Good Morning.

Did you sing Happy Birthday to the church this Pentecost Sunday?

An update (particularly since some of you have asked) about my social networking experiment/experience...
About 8 weeks ago my friend Doug Lawrence was visiting and convinced (watched over my shoulder and told me what to do) me to join facebook. I had resisted it for years, for a lot of reasons which aren't important to this update. I started in fear and trepidation, mostly because I didn't want to be spending e ...

Good Morning.

Let us here at Creator join the chorus of people who take our hats off and salute the people who have served in the military in order to keep us free...may we never get to the point where we take that for granted...

Pentecost this Sunday...may the Holy Spirit rain tongues of fire down upon you and your congregation this week...

It being a holiday, I'll keep this short...

Thanks for taking our new survey! A ...

Good Morning.

If you are reading this and tried to access Monday Morning Email this morning, and could, and then couldn't...(follow that?)...it is because we had some server problems, and they're fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience...

It is Pentecost in two weeks? Do you ask your platform leadership and/or congregation to wear red?

Business first...

Good Morning.

Thanks for reading. I appreciate it.

Seek and Ye Shall Find...and sometimes when you don't even seek.

Two weeks ago we told you about our article compilation CDs selling like hot cakes and asked where that expression came from. Last week we told you how John Jarvis sent us that information within the hour. In last week's little blurb, we mentioned that the articles on each compilation CD were the "cream of the crop" ...

Good Morning.

Did anyone sign up for the pbwiki?

How about this?

Last week we told you about our article compilation CDs selling like hot cakes and asked where did that expression come from, anyway? Well, of course Creator Leadership Network members to the rescue...within an hour, I got the following information from John Jarvis:
SELL LIKE HOT CAKES - "Hot cakes cooked in bear grease or pork lard w ...

Good Morning.

 First, there's this...

● Last week we told you about our article compilation CDs...and they are already selling like hot cakes! (where did that expression come from, anyway?) We've put together 3 collections of back articles in pdf format on CD Rom. The Choir and Leadership collections ($19.95 each) contain over 40 articles, while the Worship collection ($24.95) contains 60 articles. ...
