Good Morning.
First, I once again apologize to those of you who have been having diffficulty with the links in these emails over the past two weeks. I thought we had it fixed last week, but alas, that was not the case. Some people still couldn't make the links work. Some of the problems were the result of AOL users not understanding that AOL "disables" the links for your "protection." But that wasn't all of it. Blame the rest on me. I was using a "more direct" method of constructing the links, and it turns out that it wasn't such a good idea. This week I'm going back to the "old" system, and I presume that will solve the problems. So, once again...If you missed the July 6 Monday Morning Email, Bob Burroughs had a lot of great content, including Mary McDonald's guest contribution "Tales from the Pit! (Organ Pit, That Is!)" and the description of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church's annual choir reunion. To read the July 6 MME ...just click here.
Last week Hugh Ballou featured guest contributions from Brandon Allen, David Stanley, and Franklin Gillis. To read last week's MME...just click here.
On the print side...
Here at Creator we're finishing up our annual Choir Members Issue. This is an issue specifically designed to be for choir members. The idea is that choir directors, ministers of music, worship leaders (or fill in your current title here) can order multiple copies for your choir to use at a choir retreat, or for motivational and educational use. Or just to say to your choir members: "You're important." This year's issue is titled The Choir in Modern Worship and features a title article, as well as 40 Things Every Choir Member Should Know and Growing Your Choir's Relevance. We also turn the Creator spotlight upon well-known composer Pepper Choplin. I know that the economy has become a factor in most churches, and so I've made the decision to offer our lowest price ever per copy. Ordinarily we would ask that you order at least 100 copies to get this price, but if you'll send me an email (click here), we'll ship you as many copies as you'd like for just $2.50 per copy. That's a savings of $3.50 per copy over our cover price. We'll even make it easy by sending you an invoice. Order your CMI copies now, though, so that you can get them when they come off the presses. Again, click here to order copies for your choir.
